Passenger Facility Fee

Regina and area continues to grow as a transportation hub and travel destination visited by guests from around the world.

YQR needs to provide services and facilities that meet the needs of our visitors.

YQR is southern Saskatchewan’s gateway to the world and is the first place travellers see when they arrive by air. The airport terminal is the first opportunity to create a great impression.

Regina Airport Authority (RAA) is continuously making improvements to better serve our community with a modern and efficient airport experience that aims to exceed our communities expectations.

To meet the ever-changing needs, RAA collects a Passenger Facility Fee (previously called an Airport Improvement Fee).  The RAA collects a Passenger Facility Fee on every enplaned passenger at the Regina International Airport. Currently, the fee is set at $30 per person, which is used to help fund the capital and operating costs of the airport.

Some recent examples include:

2023 $26 million dollar 13-31 runway project.

Various seating improvements throughout the terminal building.

A new runway plow and sweeper unit.
