YQR to Resume International Flights Starting November 30th
November 2, 2021
Today, James Bogusz, President and CEO of the Regina Airport Authority confirmed the Government of Canada’s removal of restrictions on international flights for the Regina International Airport, starting November 30th.
“Over the last 20 months, we have worked closely with our partners in the federal, provincial, and municipal governments to ensure Canadians could travel safely when they needed to. With the recent removal of the federal government’s non-essential travel advisory, and now, the return of international flights to YQR, we’re very excited to welcome back travellers on direct flights to a variety of incredible sun destinations.”, said Bogusz.
Sunwing Airlines currently has direct flights from YQR to 6 sun destinations in Mexico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic scheduled to start in December.
“We will continue to work closely with our partners at Transport Canada, the Public Health Agency of Canada, and the Canada Border Services Agency to ensure passengers are able to continue travelling safely, following all of the guidelines, and ensuring access to any testing required.”
